Fresenius Kabi is now offering a newly developed functional ingredient based on lactulose, which is - according to its chemical composition of galactose and fructose - also known as galacto-fructose.
The liquid formulation of Galactofructose f-Type has a total carbohydrate content of around 62.5% w/w with approx. 49% thereof being different functionally active and microbiome friendly non-digestible carbohydrates (NDCs).
As an upcycled ingredient Galactofructose f-Type paves the way for the development of sustainable and healthier food and feed products.
